Currently, director Wolfgang Groos is shooting the turbulent family adventure LILLY THE WITCH SAVES CHRISTMAS (German title: Hexe Lilli rettet Weihnachten) in Cologne’s MMC Studios. On Monday, November 28th, 2016, the MMC Movies’ co-production was presented to the press on MMC’s stage 41.
For the third part of the successful film series, in which Lilly the Witch has to save Christmas and to bring gone-wild Servant Rupert under control, the MMC Art Department set up the complete house of Lilly the Witch, including the winterly garden on MMC’s soundstage 41.
The adventures of LILLY THE WITCH are based on the successful and multi-million selling children’s book series by German author KNISTER.
Jürgen Vogel, Anja Kling, Maresa Hörbiger and Gerti Drassl play the leading adult roles in LILLY THE WITCH SAVES CHRISTMAS. Michael Mittermeier, as the voice of magical dragon Hector, was also a must for the new LILLY THE WITCH film!
New young talents like Hedda Erlebach, who plays her first leading role as Lilly, Magno, Aleyna Hila Obid and Maurizio Magno were exceptionally good choices for the children’s roles.
The shooting for the third part of the successful Lilly the Witch series takes place from November 22nd, 2016 to mid-February 2017 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Belgium, Austria, and South Tyrol.
LILLY THE WITCH SAVES CHRISTMAS is a production of blue eyes Fiction (Corinna Mehner) and Trixter (Michael Coldewey) in co-production with Dor Film, Potemkino, Be-Films, Universum Film, WDR, and MMC Movies.
