‘Help, I Shrunk My Friends’ Has a Release Date!

Granz Henman’s movie, which was partly shot at MMC Studios in Cologne, will be released in German theaters on January 6, 2021.

In the film, Felix (Oskar Keymer) falls in love with his new classmate Melanie (Lorna zu Solms) – much to the annoyance of his friend Ella (Lina Hüesker) and Felix’s gang.

Hilfe, ich hab meine Freunde geschrumpft

When Felix’s friends almost mess up his date with Melanie, he shrinks them spontaneously to a tenth of their size. Just for a short time, he thinks to himself.

But once Melanie has left, the magic ball to restoring his friends to their proper size has also disappeared. Is Melanie a thief?

In the process, Felix not only has to shrink himself, he also has to confess his love to Melanie and admit his mistakes to his friends.

The family entertainment movie was shot in South Tyrol, Austria, Belgium, and Germany.

The filming on MMC Studios’ soundstage 41 saw several XXL props built by MMC’s art department, among them a 9 meters- / 30 ft.-long skateboard.

Hilfe, ich hab meine Freunde geschrumpft (German title) is a production of blue eyes Fiction in co-production with Karibufilm Produktion, Mini Film, Filmvergnuegen, Potemkino Port, and WS Filmproduktion.

It was backed by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, FFA, and DFFF, among others.
