MMC Studios Köln GmbH fills the newly created position of Senior Manager Innovation & Technology with Fabian Leimbach with immediate effect. In his role he reports directly to the management.
Leimbach’s future tasks at MMC Studios include the development of new product offerings and technologies based on an international production approach. In addition to MMC Group’s new OB Truck, this also includes the topic of Remote Production.
The planning of complex productions with new technologies and production approaches, e.g. in the area of Reality TV Production, is also part of his area of responsibility. In the case of technically demanding productions in particular, extensive customer advice is the focus of his activities.
In addition, Leimbach will plan future technology events at MMC Studios as well as training courses for employees of the MMC Group, and he will promote the interaction between MMC Studios and Crosscast, so that professional qualifications and new production approaches can be developed and shared bidirectionally.

Fabian Leimbach comes from Crosscast GmbH, the internationally active outside broadcast production arm of the MMC Group, where he has been in charge as Technical Director since 2020.
Crosscast is a highly sought-after production partner for the technical realization of innovative TV productions for classic production houses as well as for remote productions and smart productions based on flyaway production units. In the area of eSports, Crosscast produces tournaments on five continents. In addition, the company realizes permanent installations such as studio control rooms and virtual studios.
Before that, Leimbach had been with ESL Gaming – Turtle Entertainment, Cologne, since the end of 2016, where he was in charge of the productions of ESL eSports events around the world as Technical Director and Head of Engineering.
At ESL, Leimbach, as head of all technical broadcast subsections and global contact person for broadcasts and concept development, was also involved in the planning and implementation of the ESL innovation concept.
This included the redesign of national and international broadcasts, the concept development for remote broadcasts, the new construction of flight case production units and other means of production, as well as the planning and implementation of virtual reality and augmented reality productions.
