Anniversary for "Let's Dance": Germany's most popular dance show is starting its 10th season in 2017 - and this is being celebrated in a very special way. For the first time in the history of "Let's Dance," not only will the reigning "Dancing Star" Victoria Swarovski open the new season, but the dancing couples will also get together for the kick-off in front of an audience of millions.
In a 14 celebrities and 14 dance professionals meet for the first time in the MMC studios for the big live show hosted by Daniel Hartwich and Sylvie Meis. and find out who will spend the next few weeks with whom. In front of the audience, in front of the jury, in front of the presenters!
These 14 celebrities are hell-bent on dancing their way to the coveted trophy this year: Vanessa Mai, Anni Friesinger-Postma, Susi Kentikian, Ann-Kathrin Brömmel, Chiara Ohoven, Angelina Kirsch, Cheyenne Pahde, Jörg Draeger, Maximilian Arland, Bastiaan Ragas, Gil Ofarim, Heinrich Popow, Faisal Kawusi and another star will venture onto the big RTL dance floor in 2017: Pietro Lombardi also wants to take part in this year's dance duel of the stars, but his participation is currently uncertain due to a foot injury.
Never before have celebrities and professionals been so excited about the first live show. The moment of getting to know each other for the first time, the first steps together, hand in hand, is enormously important for everyone involved. Who are they dealing with? Is it the desired professional dancer? What can the professional get out of "his" celebrity? You can't hide any emotion in front of a live audience: Are the couples happy for each other? Are they jealously squinting at the neighboring couple?
However, the big get-to-know-you show is not just about who dances with whom. Talent and tact are already in demand: In the first team dances, the celebrity dance students can already show what movement talent lies dormant in them - and with only one day of training in advance. Who needs urgent coaching? Who can inspire right from the start?
Every celebrity is already judged and graded by the jury. Joachim Llambi, Motsi Mabuse and Jorge Gonzalez will once again cast a critical eye on the celebrity dancers and judge their skills in their usual bitingly charming manner.
And also the Spectators can already be made per Phone and SMS voting decide: The celebrity with the most points is "safe".
When the tenth season of "Let's Dance" starts on March 17 with the regular showshe is already safely in the second round, while the other 13 celebrities have to tremble with their professional dancers.
