Lars Kraume’s six-part TV series that was partly filmed at MMC Studios is nominated in the ‘Special’ category for its production design.
The gripping series closely follows the historical characters and dramatic events around the founding of the legendary Bauhaus school of art and design.
Based on the designs by production designer Olaf Schiefner, interior sets such as the Bauhaus lecture hall and the Bauhaus artist workshop were constructed by the MMC Art Department on MMC’s soundstage 41.
‘Die Neue Zeit’ (German title) is a production of zero one film in co-production with Constantin Television and Nadcon Film for ZDF / ARTE.
The ‘Grimme Preis’ winners will be announced on March 3rd. On March 27th, the awards will be presented at the 56th annual ceremony in Marl.
We keep fingers crossed!
