Pettersson and Findus are back! And Beda, Gustavsson and the Mucklas are also back! After the great success of the first two film adaptations of Sven Nordqvist's bestsellers, PETTERSSON AND FINDUS - FINDUS MOVES will be the last part of the adorable live-action trilogy in theaters on September 13, 2018.
With great attention to detail, PETTERSSON UND FINDUS - FINDUS ZIEHT UM tells a humorous and at the same time touching story about friendship, family and growing up, which will not only conquer children's hearts.
Findus bounces around on his new mattress day and night, but the annoyed Pettersson (Stefan Kurt) wants to have his peace and quiet. The solution: a separate play and bounce house for Findus, which Pettersson builds for him right next door! The cat, however, finds such pleasure in being independent and living alone that he moves into the little house not only to play, but completely.
But this is not what Pettersson had in mind! Will he now have to live his life without his happy little companion? Findus has to think of something to cheer up old Pettersson...
The multiple award-winning director Ali Samadi Ahadi (SALAMI ALEIKUM) now devotes itself to the last part of the film trilogy around the little cat in cooperation with Tradewind Pictures, after "Pettersson and Findus - Small Nuisance, Great Friendship" and "Pettersson and Findus - The Best Christmas Ever".
Stefan Kurt (ICH UND KAMINSKY) can be seen again in the role of Pettersson, alongside the actors known from the last two films Marianne Sägebrecht (OMAMAMIA) as Beda Andersson and Max Herbrechter (ROCK IT!) as Gustavsson.
The little title hero Findus is brought to life by the animation studios of CHIMNEY.
The screenplay was penned by Thomas Springer based on a template from Sven Nordqvists Stories "Findus moves" (2013) and "Pettersson camps" (1993) from Oetinger Verlag.
PETTERSSON AND FINDUS - FINDUS MOVES AROUND was sponsored by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, the HessenFilm und Medien, the MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg, the Filmförderungsanstalt, the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the German Federal Film Fund.
For the Production responsible are Tradewind Pictures, in co-production with Senator Film Cologne, ZDF and Chimney.
Like the first two parts of the trilogy, FINDUS MOVES was shot in the 2,000-square-meter, 26-meter high MMC Studio 53 filmed in Cologne. The highest film studio in the world offered more than enough space to build Pettersson's complete farm there and then shoot all the exterior shots of the film on this set.
With 35 shooting days, the majority of the footage for PETTERSSON UND FINDUS was once again shot at MMC Studios.
