Amazon secures the thriller "7500" with Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Amazon Studios has acquired the global rights to "7500", which was largely invested in the MMC Studios was shot. Only Germany, Switzerland and Austria are excluded. In Germany comes Patrick Vollrath's feature film in January 2020 about Universum Film in the cinemas.

Together with Senad Halilbasic director Patrick Vollrath also wrote the script for the thriller starring Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring as the pilot Tobias Ellis.

Other roles have included Aylin Tezel, Murathan Muslu and Omid Memar taken over.

Besides the Shooting on an airplane set in MMC Studio 37 filming also took place in Mönchengladbach and Vienna.

"7500" is a production of the Cologne-based augenschein film production. Co-producers are Novotny & Novotny, SWR, BR and Arte. The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW supported the preparation and production of the film with around 860,000 euros. It was also supported by DFFF, BKM, FFA, MFG, FFHSH, ÖFI, Filmfonds Wien and FISA.

About the content:
7500, a thriller set exclusively in the cockpit, shows the horror of modern terrorism in an unprecedented way: A flight from Berlin to Paris. Everyday work in the cockpit of an Airbus A319. Co-pilot Tobias Ellis routinely prepares the plane for takeoff. The takeoff goes smoothly, as usual. But then suddenly there is shouting in the cabin. A group of young men, including eighteen-year-old Vedat, are trying to enter the cockpit. A battle begins between crew and attackers, a tug-of-war between the desire to save individual lives and avert even greater damage. The cockpit door becomes the battlefield and Tobias finds himself in the position of having to decide between life and death ...
