The ceremonial highlight of the Film Festival Cologne is the awarding of the FILM FESTIVAL COLOGNE AWARDS on October 8 at the Palladium in Cologne.
The from Network Movie and MMC Studios Cologne donated INTERNATIONAL ACTORS AWARD goes this year to the Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen.
The International Actors Award honors personalities who have achieved prominence and recognition in international film and TV in an outstanding way through their acting achievements.
For almost a decade Mads Mikkelsen worked as a dancer before switching to acting. His first life has prepared him perfectly for roles that require a high level of physicality, but also for the portrayal of subtle characters.
As Bond antagonist Le Chiffre in CASINO ROYALE and as the title character in the series HANNIBAL, the Dane, born in 1965, became famous worldwide. But his career has much more to offer than a series of striking villains, as shown by films such as COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY, MICHAEL KOHLHAAS or DIE JAGD.
Its new film ANOTHER ROUND (Original title: DRUK) directed by Thomas Vinterberg will run on October 7 at 8:00 p.m. at the festival.
In addition, Mads Mikkelsen is at the Actors Talk on October 8 at 2:00 pm on the stage of the Filmpalast 1.
