Tonight, the INTERNATIONAL ACTRESS AWARD will be presented as part of the FILM FESTIVAL COLOGNE AWARDS. The award, sponsored by Network Movie and MMC Studios Köln GmbH, goes this year to German actress Sandra Hüller.
The International Actress Award honors personalities who have achieved prominence and recognition in international film and TV in an outstanding way through their acting achievements.
Her breakthrough came Sandra Hüller on stage, but for always wisely chosen projects she effortlessly moves in front of the film camera.
For her first leading role, the tour de force in Hans Christian Schmid's REQUIEM, she immediately received the Silver Bear.
Films such as BROWNIAN MOVEMENT, ÜBER UNS DAS ALL and especially TONI ERDMANN have subsequently only reinforced her status as an exceptional talent.
Hüller recently received the Best German Actress award from "Theater heute" for the fourth time, joining three German Film Awards, a European Film Award and countless other honors.
In the cinema, Sandra Hüller can currently be seen in EXIL as well as in the festival opening film PROXIMA, in which she stars alongside Eva Green and Matt Dillon.
