Shooting at MMC Film- & TV Studios for the international thriller "Gletschergrab" started

In April, shooting began in Germany at MMC Studios on the international feature film "Gletschergrab". The co-production by MMC Fiction (Jens Wolf and Neshe Demir) combines a gripping thriller plot with an outstanding international cast, including Wotan Wilke Möhring (Männerherzen, Tatort) as well as the British and Icelandic actors Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Resident Evil), Jack Fox (Riviera, Sanditon) and Ólafur Dari Ólafsson (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Trapped). The film is based on the best-selling Icelandic novel Operation Napoleon ("Napóleonsskjölin") by Arnaldur Indriðason, which was published in Germany under the title Gletschergrab and sold more than 1 million copies there. Filming began in Iceland in February 2022 and will be completed in NRW at the end of April.

Splendid Entertainment - with producers Dirk Schweitzer and Anita Elsani - is producing the film together with the Icelandic production company Sagafilm (Hilmar Sigurðsson and Tinna Proppé). Executive producers are Kjartan Thor Thordarson, Ralph Christians and Adalsteinn Johannsson, and co-producers are MMC Fiction (Jens Wolf and Neshe Demir) and ZDF (editor Doris Schrenner) as co-producing broadcast partner.

The film production is supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and the DFFF, among others. The theatrical release is scheduled for 2023.
