Entertainment is one of the highest-revenue and highest-employee submarkets in the German film and TV industry. In order to give this segment more prestige, more attention, more support and more young talent, the Alliance of German Producers - Film & Television e.V. is presenting the German Entertainment Award for the first time on June 2 in Cologne. All members of the Entertainment Section of the Producers' Alliance have the opportunity to evaluate this shortlist in the categories Best Development and Best Adaptation via an online platform.
The jury decides on the winners of the VFF Best Young Talent Award. This is awarded by the VFF Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten and includes prize money.
The winners will be announced and the prizes awarded at ENTERTAINMENT HAPPY HOUR on June 2, 2022 in Cologne.
