"Der Pfau" At The Film Fair Cologne

Last week, the film industry met again in Cologne to take a look at the highlights of the coming months at the film fair. Among them was the MMC production "Der Pfau", presented by director Lutz Heineking, jr. and actress Annette Frier. In addition to whimsical anecdotes from the shoot, the professional audience was treated to the first images from the top-notch theatrical adaptation of Isabel Bogdan's bestseller, which opens in German theaters in spring 2023.

That's what "Der Pfau" is about:

As soon as investment banker Linda Bachmann and her team arrive at the country estate of Lord and Lady Macintosh, the signs for a relaxing weekend in Scotland are not good: the annual balance sheet is lousy, colleagues are watching each other and their boss suspiciously, and rumor has it that a compliance officer will soon be restructuring the team. To make matters worse, the estate is not very comfortable, even the skills of cook Helen can't hide that fact, and the methods of the young seminar leader Rebecca also seem rather questionable. When first the lord's favorite peacock and then the lady's favorite goose disappear, further quarrels and chaos are inevitable. And finally it starts to snow...
