A lot going on on the blue carpet

This is what the novel adaptation of the SPIEGEL bestseller of the same name by Isabel Bogdan is about: Directed by Lutz Heineking jr., Lavinia Wilson, Serkan Kaya, Tom Schilling, David Kross and Jürgen Vogel play five stressed-out Frankfurt bankers who have to travel to a team-building seminar at a country estate in the Scottish Highlands. Svenja Jung as a seminar leader with her own agenda and Annette Frier as an energetic cook as well as Philip Jackson and Victoria Carling as the lord and lady of the estate complete the cast. When both Lord and Lady Macintosh's favorite peacock and goose disappear and it starts to snow endlessly, chaos is inevitable...

The premiere in Cologne was attended almost without exception by all the stars of the film, which is supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) and Wallimage, the Walloon film fund from Belgium, and they posed for the flashbulbs on the "red" carpet - which is blue in Cologne's largest cinema. Possibly the greatest interest of the evening was shown by director Heineking Jr. THE PEACOCK is his feature film debut.

"We couldn't be happier"

THE PEACOCK underlines the strategic reorientation of the MMC Group to act as a 'hands-on producer' in the series and feature film sector. We couldn't be happier to demonstrate this with the film adaptation of the great novel and, in addition, under the direction of Lutz Heineking, Jr.", explained producer Bastie Griese, Managing Director of MMC Film, already at the end of shooting.

THE PEACOCK opens in German cinemas on March 16.
