Premiere of "Eine Liga für sich - Buschis Sechserkette" on March 13 on Sky 1

The first german sports comedy show celebrates its premiere on Sky 1. Host Frank "Buschi" Buschmann welcomes top-class sportsmen to the opening show of "Eine Liga für sich" in the MMC Studios in Cologne. Spectators can expect a hard-hitting battle between the two celebrity teams led by captains Stefan Kretzschmar and Stefan Effenberg.

In Germany's first sports comedy show, team members Panagiota Petridou, Jessica Kastrop, Peter Neururer and Matze Knop expect witty questions and lots of crazy sports-related tasks.

"Eine Liga für sich" can be seen exclusively on Sky 1 every Monday at 8:15 p.m. starting March 13, as well as via Sky On Demand, Sky Go and Sky Ticket.

The replay will run on Fridays at 9:55 p.m. on Sky 1 and on Mondays at 10:30 p.m. after the Monday match on Sky Sport Bundesliga 1 HD from March 20.

"A league of its own - Buschis Sechserkette" is a production of the Redseven Entertainment for Sky. The sports comedy show will be shown in the MMC Studio 35 recorded in Cologne. MMC Studios is responsible for the production on behalf of Redseven Entertainment for the technical implementation of the shows as well as for the Decoration and stage construction responsible. On the MMC side, "Eine Liga für sich" is managed by Account Manager Maria Lorf.

In various rounds of games, guests must not only demonstrate their sporting knowledge, but also their skills in physical challenges. Points are awarded for each round won.

In the show's grand finale, one team member at a time must complete a grueling task while the other two team members answer questions. In the end, the team with the most points wins.

The 50-minute show combines sports, comedy and entertainment like no other format on German television - and not just for viewers interested in sports.

The British original "A League of Their Own" with host James Corden, known from the "Late Late Show" and "Carpool Karaoke," has also been running extremely successfully on Sky 1 in the UK since 2010.

And that happens next Monday: In three rounds, the celebrity teams answer crazy questions about the most coveted autograph cards of athletes, the longest goal celebration, as well as four-legged friends and tattoos of famous soccer players. There will be a lot of discussion, a lot of handing out, and a lot of heated debate.

In the grand finale, the team captains "Effe" and "Kretzsche" have to go mano a mano in the surf battle, while their fellow competitors have to prove their brains once again.
