The Cologne-based film and series producer is pushing ahead with its internationalization.
Cologne, 10.11.2021. MMC Movies Cologne, a Germany-based film and series producer, is expanding into the USA and opening its first foreign office in Los Angeles. The new location is centrally located in the "Hollywood Media District", just a few minutes’ walk from the offices of Netflix and Viacom CBS as well as Paramount, Sunset & Red Studios. "We are very excited about the opening of the L.A. office, as it underscores our strategic direction moving forward. We will give MMC Movies a broader orientation and plan to realize more international productions in the future. Not least thanks to the Film Foundation NRW, we have an attractive production location here in Cologne, Germany with the highest international standards and a wide range of funding opportunities," says Jens Wolf, CEO of the MMC Group.
"The development of our new location is already bearing its first fruits. Already next year, a well-known American streaming provider will produce a high-end series in our Cologne MMC Studios. We are very much looking forward to that," adds Bastie Griese, Managing Director of MMC Movies.
